Organization: Discowork LLC DBA Santa Cruz Swing (“SCS”)

Effective Date: 1/16/2026

By signing up for, attending, and/or participating in dance classes, workshops, social dances, or any event or program, current or future, organized by Discowork LLC DBA Santa Cruz Swing at any location, you hereby agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk: You recognize that dancing requires physical exertion that may be strenuous and may cause physical injury. You are fully aware of the risks and hazards involved, including but not limited to trips, falls, collisions with other dancers, and floor surface conditions. You have explained these risks to anyone you accompany.

2. Physical Fitness: You represent and warrant that you, and anyone you sign up and/or accompany, are physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent full participation in the dance classes or events. You understand it is your responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding participation.

3. Responsibility for Injuries: In consideration of being permitted to participate, you agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, which you, or anyone you sign up and/or accompany, might incur as a result of attending and/or participating.

4. Infectious Diseases & COVID-19: You acknowledge the contagious nature of infectious diseases (including but not limited to COVID-19 and the flu) and voluntarily assume the risk that you may be exposed to or infected by such diseases by attending SCS events. You agree not to attend if you are feeling ill, have a fever, or have recently been exposed to a contagious illness. You acknowledge that SCS is not responsible for any illness contracted following attendance.

5. Waiver and Release of Liability: You knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waive any and all claims you may have against Discowork LLC, Santa Cruz Swing, their staff, officers, members, employees, volunteers, and independent contractors (collectively, the "Released Parties") for injury, illness, death, or damages that you or anyone you accompany may sustain, whether arising from the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, as a result of attending and/or participating.

6. Property Loss: You acknowledge that the Released Parties cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of your personal belongings or property at any event location. You are solely responsible for your items.

7. Media Release: You authorize Discowork LLC to use any photo or video in which you, or anyone you sign up and/or accompany, may appear, for promotional purposes, social media, and video distribution, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership.

8. Refund & Transfer Policy: You agree that resale of any event pass is not allowed without express authorization from SCS. Unauthorized resale or scalping will result in the voiding of the pass. You acknowledge that if you miss an event due to illness after the refund deadline, a refund or deferral is not guaranteed.

9. Age Restriction: You understand that all Discowork LLC events are age restricted, and all participants must be at least 21 years of age. 

10. Severability: You agree that if any portion of this waiver is found to be void or unenforceable by a court of law, the remaining portions of the agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
